The best Steam tags for a game are the most specific, accurate ones, not the broadest.

“high competition” is relative to the other tags on this map, not an absolute bar.
Zones are relative to whatever's currently filtered here; the genre comparison cards always judge
a genre against the full dataset, so its zone badge there won't shift when you drag the min-games slider.
Why the axes are logarithmic
Each gridline is 10× the last, not evenly spaced. That's what keeps a handful of megahits
from flattening every other genre tag toward zero on the chart. Switch Axis Scale to Linear
(under Data View) to see true proportional distances instead.
Efficiency Score = avg top-20 owners ÷ total competing games × 1,000. Higher = more
reach per unit of competition. Revenue est. = owners × price; free-to-play titles show $0. Owner
counts are third-party estimates and include free/bundle activations. Top-5 lists are ranked by
estimated owners, which is why free-to-play titles with huge install bases can outrank paid hits.
